Another very successful Essential Skills course was completed over the weekend with eight pupils coming away with loads of new skills and a whole bunch of tips and tricks from John Welsford.

Merry Christmas from all the crew at NZTBS. The school will be closed over the Christmas New Year period but we’ll be back in February with a new schedule of courses for 2019.

Many thanks to Warren Howard for sharing just a small part of his enormous skill with us today. It was great to be able to dive right in and start making something with helpful guidance to correct our little whoopsies! Everyone managed to finish their sample boards and had something to take home, along with many new skills learned.

Great course last Saturday on steam bending ribs, 8 students attended and learned all the skills required to remove old ribs, select timber, cut, steam bend and install the new ribs with copper nails and roves.  The tutor was Paul Tingey

Very good day at the Winter maintenance seminar today at the school, had around 25 attendees and some great speakers. Everyone I spoke to really enjoyed it and will be back for more courses.
